PSY 451 LatinX Psychology

This course offers an overview of how psychological frameworks contribute to interdisciplinary research for understanding U.S.-based Latinx populations’ experiences, behaviors, identities, and value systems. The course focuses on how socio-cultural contexts shape the psychological experiences of U.S. Latinx communities with a strong focus on youth and adolescents. Topics will include familial structures, language, identities, social class, discrimination, health, and education.
