This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. It is imperative that cadets are taught from the beginning that there are many layers to leadership, including aspects that don’t always jump to mind.  Such things include listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower, and problem solving efficiently.

As a continuation of AS 201, this course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. It is imperative that cadets are taught from the beginning that there are many layers to leadership, including aspects that don’t always jump to mind.  Such things include listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower, and problem solving efficiently.

This course is taken in conjunction with AS 201. It consists of a weekly laboratory including military customs and courtesies, physical fitness, drill and ceremonies, leadership studies, leadership exercises, and Air Force and Space Force officer career days. Provides students opportunities to demonstrate fundamental management skills and prepares cadets for Field Training. Course is graded P/NP.
