Minor in Sports Business

The sports business minor is open to students of all majors. One course is required, and three additional electives are selected, depending on the student’s interests. This 12-credit hour undergraduate minor aims to provide students with a contemporary, multi-disciplinary, and applied education in the business of sport. Through a combination of classroom learning, real-world experiences, and networking opportunities, students will be prepared to pursue careers in the arenas of product creation, event marketing, or sports property management. Students will gain a broad understanding of the sports industry to complement their field of study, covering topics such as sports marketing, sports finance, sports law, strategy, and analytics.

Note: Only one upper-division major requirement or major elective can be counted towards both the minor and a major.
