Smoking, Tobacco, and Inhalant Delivery Systems

Possession or consumption of tobacco or inhalant delivery systems (vaping) while on campus, in University buildings, or attending University sponsored events is only permitted by individuals who are 21 years old or older. Smoking is prohibited in all University buildings including all residence halls, University-owned apartments and off-campus rental properties, and all public areas outside of designated smoking locations. Smoking devices include, but are not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, and hookahs.

Note that Oregon HB 2024/SB754 raised the age at which someone may possess or consume tobacco or inhalant delivery systems to 21 years old. New regulations also state that colleges and universities shall not permit any person under 21 to possess tobacco or inhalant delivery systems while the person is present on college/university grounds, in college/university buildings, or attending college/university sponsored events.
